PARENT TESTIMONIALS

Prior to coming to GCCA, we as a family prayed that God would let us know if we needed to change or do something different when discussing our children’s education. After both my husband and I had prayed about it, we both felt like God was leading us to place our children in an atmosphere where there was a strong Biblical worldview and focus. After all, kids are in school 7-8 hours a day, Monday through Friday. That is where they are being influenced and impacted for a greater part of their lives. Wouldn’t we want them to be trained and influenced to be true warriors and servants for Christ above all?

We decided to join GCCA because of its stance to teach kids HOW to think, not just what to think, it’s strong theological influence and the fact that everything that is taught, is taught through a Biblical lens and worldview. The principles they are learning now will go with them for a lifetime and the fact that they are hiding God’s Word in their hearts at so young of an age will be their greatest asset wherever they go and whatever they do.

We have been blown away by the knowledge and wisdom that our children have already gleaned in less than a year of attending GCCA. We pray God continues to use this school in the lives of the students, teachers, parents, and community. It is all for His glory and His glory alone.

Making the move to GCCA has been the best decision we have made for our kids’ education and spiritual growth! We started GCCA in 2017 after visiting this sweet small school a few times. We were blown away seeing what these little brilliant minds could do! And their memory of scripture was so refreshing and mind blowing, we were a little bit shocked!

Coming from public education, we knew this was going to be a radical move, but so worth it! God is so good and kind as he prepared all our hearts for this new way of learning. We had our fears and doubts if we would truly be able to make the transition from public to Classical and do it well. This was an entirely different way of learning from what our kids had experienced, especially transitioning with our oldest who was in middle school at the time.

The welcome and support we received from the teachers, staff, and families was so encouraging to us all as we started this new journey. Not only is Classical education different for the students, it is also so different for us parents! But with all the struggles and hardships we can say that having our kids be surrounded with like-minded families growing in God’s Word together has been so good.

The confidence we have knowing our kids are being trained on how to think, not what to think, has given us parents such peace and joy. Grace Classical has been such a beautiful experience for us as a family, challenging us all to stretch and grow. The community we have at GCCA has become a huge part of our village in growing our children for God’s glory.

We are so grateful for everyone who is a part of this amazing school and have complete confidence our children will be well prepared, as they enter into this world as young men and women ready to face whatever is to come their way.

When we came to Grace it wasn’t something we were seeking out. We didn’t even know we needed it, but man, did we need it. I would consider us like many families raising kids- doing our best with what we knew. At some point, Aaron and I began to realize that what we knew was all wrong! We began to see that we’d been trained in our upbringings to compartmentalize our faith- school and church were two separate things. We wouldn’t have said that, but that’s how we were living. We were raising our kids pragmatically, prioritizing worldly things over biblical principles. We were taught at Grace that what our kids needed, what we were called to, was far more intentional than that. We were taught about the importance of an education with Christ at the center. The need for our children to see the world, all of their subjects, through a Christian

worldview was made clear. We’ve grown so much as parents because of Grace and the principles established here. Everyone - from administration, teachers, and families - has spurred us along and helped us to think well about all things worth considering when raising a family. We’ve been sharpened and encouraged right alongside our kids! I am grateful for the day a friend invited us to a GCCA information meeting that I believe changed the trajectory of our family not just for us but, Lord willing, for generations to come. What a blessing to have this school available in our community! To God be the glory!

There are so many wonderful things about GCCA that it is hard to highlight just one thing, but what stands out the most for our family is how GCCA is a community. It is truly a Christian family. What an incredible thing to be surrounded by teachers, staff, and other parents that really understand the calling of raising up children in the instruction and admonition of the Lord.

GCCA takes up the huge task of coming alongside families and ensuring that the academic education of our kids is a cohesive piece in our parenting discipleship. GCCA not only has a commitment to excellence in teaching academic subjects, but they also are committed to teaching our kids the character of God and the sufficiency of scripture. That kind of support is immeasurable.

One morning back in 2014, two precious lives entered this world and immediately an assurance was made: that these children would grow up to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ both under the roof of our family home and within the walls of our church. To be honest, I don’t think at the time we were even considering this extending into their schooling.

The years flew by, and it was time to start our school search. Our selection of Grace Classical Christian Academy was twofold. First, the Classical Education model was always at the top of the list particularly for Justin (dad) who has always put an emphasis of a solid educational foundation for our family. We were introduced to GCCA by a wonderful family who shared their journey with us and answered any questions that came up on both the classical curriculum as well as the school’s Christ-centered approach.

This brings us to the second reason for our choosing GCCA. I will never forget the day that we toured the campus. Justin, I, and our girls were escorted to the kindergarten classroom where we watched in awe as the children stood, respectfully turned our direction, and in unison greeted us by name. They then went on to demonstrate what they were working on that week and recited the Proverbs they had memorized. It was easy to picture our own children hearing the Word of God each day, praying openly in school, and knowing that it is all being facilitated by staff who were committed in doing so.

From starting out each day with fathers holding open the school doors and greeting each student, to ending each week with families and staff singing hymns together to start our weekend off the right way, we knew that enrolling our family into GCCA would further our family’s commitment in the assurance that we had made to God just five years prior. And so, begins our journey…

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.” - Romans 12:2

We feel so very blessed to have found GCCA! This is our 6th year at Grace and being here has dramatically changed our family dynamics. Our kids are not just receiving an excellent academic education (although, they are!). More importantly, they are being daily trained to love and serve the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and strength. Additionally, we are being equipped as parents to trust the Lord’s promises and faithfully nurture the children God has entrusted to us. As a family, we have grown closer to the Lord through family worship and memorizing scripture with our kids.

We have also seen our in our family a singular focus and purpose emerge. Apart from Christ, we have no purpose, and it is a joy to see my children recognize this Truth and live it out in our community. GCCA has been a gift to us. I am so very grateful for the teachers, administrators and board members who tirelessly work to see these students be transformed by the grace of God.

Our family is grateful to be a part of Grace. It is such a blessing to watch our children benefit from a great education; they learn more than I would have thought possible. It is even more exciting that they are growing in their faith and being taught by Godly teachers. There has been another benefit that I never would have expected: my understanding of my role as a father and my responsibility before God has been challenged. Grace Classical Christian Academy is a loving community that will be faithful to God’s word. Sometimes that is hard, but it is always rewarding.

We chose GCCA because Christ is the foundation not only for the classroom studies but HE is the rock that EVERY other aspect of the school is built upon. It is evident that Jesus is Lord over GCCA and we want to follow HIM and HIM alone.
